@Stefan, I seem to recall some issues playing audio from the GAIA to my system, but haven't used it in while. I'm not sure what those "square.roam.corp.google.com" entries in your logs are. You are using all of the right debugging techniques and the problem might be related to the type of USB quirk entry.
