Hi Dan, could you provide the patch so we could review it ? The box file you provided is in no way compareable to cloud-images.
The box file is about twice the size - so it was built in another way. I think the only proper way to fix this (no change in filesystem or installed packets) is changing the config drive user-data .. which should be not hard to implement and is isolated to vagrant only cloud- image .. Could you relay us the process Louis Zuckerman layed out - so we could provide a patch ?
