Public bug reported: I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 and have recently found that when installing and using Specto 0.3.1-0ubuntu3 that on the first launch the window launches, but then if I close it and then try to start it again, although I can see that Specto is running, the window does not open as it should.
A workaround I have found is to set it in the Preferences so that it has a tray icon too, but one shouldn't really need to do this in order to be able to use the program. Especially as if one does not do this, seemingly even if one purges all trace of Specto and its configuration files, reinstalling it still doesn't give one the window. So if one doesn't get it to have a tray icon on that first launch then Specto can't be used on that machine again which is bad. I have seen other users complaining about this issue too, though most of them don't seem to have discovered the workaround I have sadly. ** Affects: specto (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1598585 Title: Specto window does not launch after first launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/specto/+bug/1598585/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
