Thanks Michael, Sorry about the maintainer bit, that was a mistake, and your debdiff would be better.
I built my package on the blends-dev recently synced to yakkety, so it seems we used the same. This version of blends-dev included a significant change that added an *-all package so that in Debian the blends can in the future be added to the tasksel menu in the Debian Installer. This created a bit of noise in the diff, but is harmless for Ubuntu. The makefile (make dist target) will (from memory) take the release info from the changelog, download the latest apt cache for that release, move packages from "Depends" to "Recommends", and any unavailable packages to "Suggests" in the metapackage. This avoids un-installability issues if the packages get removed later. So depending on what day you build it, the result could be different. It think there was also a change in the way the packages get sorted, that makes the diff harder to read as well. Closer to the yaketty release, I plan to do another build to make sure the metapackage is as up to date as possible for the release. For Ubuntu Studio, we are particularly interested in the puredata metapackage which is seeded so we don't need to maintain a list of all the puredata packages manually. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1594558 Title: Please merge debian-multimedia 0.5 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-multimedia/+bug/1594558/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
