Sorry Anupam : I did not want to pollute this complex bug-id but I wished to point out that the problem may be an interaction between several applications that use the system sound notifications. I believe it... I decided to create notifications at the same time for several applications (sms/calendar/and clock alarm) at 19:30 every day... Soon, the sound becomes mute after first notification... or after a while...
