Unfortunately I can't tell because I bought the camera few days ago and this was the first run.
I tried linux- image-4.7.0-040700rc5-generic_4.7.0-040700rc5.201606262232_amd64.deb without better results. When using 4.7rc5, kernel hangs immediately instead of living a few minutes. kernel.log is attached. I set up a Windows 10 in virtuabox on the machine and attached it the camera. Vlc ran in the VM lives without problem for long time. ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1596965 Title: using Cheese with 090c:037c usb camera causes kernel crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1596965/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
