"it is not acceptable that canonical refuses to support such extremely important piece of security related software"
Let's cool the language here. So this request appears to be to add network-manager-openvpn to the 'supported' seed (rather than a main image seed). We do actually already pre-install network-manager-openvpn in ubuntu- touch. So there is some interest there, but we don't yet require all ubuntu-touch packages to be in main. The other consumer is ubuntu-mate, which also doesn't need to be in main. Until a team in Canonical says they are on board for supporting this in the supported seed, this bug doesn't seem actionable. I'll mark it as Incomplete for now, as a request for feedback about why this is needed. ** Changed in: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574576 Title: [MIR] network-manager-openvpn To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-openvpn/+bug/1574576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
