I don't see how this is a ubiquity bug. hal-device-manager is the thing
that's crashing. THANKS, YOUR PROBABLY RIGHT, I HAD TO MANUALLY FILE THE
BUG AND THIS CAME UP SOMEWHERE: Binary package hint: ubiquity I STARTED
TO THINK IT WAS CLASSIFIED WRONG WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL UBIQUITY AND IT
SAID IT WAS NOT INSTALLED. THAT IS ALSO WHY I TRIED TO INCLUDE SO MUCH
DOCUMENTATION.

Why are you trying to install ubiquity on a normal system (as opposed to
the live CD, where it is preinstalled)? That won't work. I TRIED TO
INSTALL IT TO MAKE SURE I HAD THE LATEST VERSION, I DON'T KNOW ENOUGH
ABOUT IT TO KNOW THAT IT IS ONLY USED FOR LIVE CD APPLICATIONS AND NOT
NORMAL SYSTEM INSTALLS.

If you encounter a problem with the installer from the desktop CD,
please report that as a separate bug. YES, THANK YOU, I KIND OF FIGURED
THAT, ONE OF THE CONCERNS IS THAT I DON'T THINK I CAN RECREATE IT
BECAUSE NOW I HAVE THE ALTERNATIVE CD INSTALLED AND I AM NOT ABLE TO
RECREATE THE BUG. I ALSO WOULD HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AS HERE, WHAT PACKAGE
TO FILE IT UNDER, I'M NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE AT THAT LEVEL YET. However, hal-
device-manager crashing still isn't a bug in ubiquity. COOL, NO WORRIES,
THANKS FOR THE UPDATE.
