I am having two machines, both upgraded from 15.10 to 16.04

The one running under vmware is doing fine, but the other running on
bare metal has the same problem, since 16.04 upgrade.

Even booting 3.19.0-33 the same misfunction "no middle button" persists.
That kernel and all other versions had always been fine on that machine.

The failed mouse device was a "Logitech USB Receiver", USB ID 046d:c517
On runtime I attached another Logitech mouse, USB ID 046d:c52f, running
absolutely fine in this regards.

It does not look like a kernel issue to me, maybe it's more at or around
package xserver-xorg-input-evdev.

Best Regards,
Manfred
