Public bug reported: OS: Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS pulseaudio-version: 1:4.0-0ubuntu11.1 unity-control-center-version: 14.04.3+14.04.20150916-0ubuntu1
I have with my system the common problem of exchanged center- and LFE-channels, so I had to change the channel-mapping in /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/extra-hdmi.conf (exchanging front-center and lfe for 5.1 and 7.1). Now the channels are mapped correct (tested using speakertest), but the subwoofer-slider still controls the level of the front-center-speaker. (It did also with default channel mapping.) It seems the subwoofer-slider doesn't respect the channel-mapping. Additional information (workaround): This one I also could fix for the GUI of the sound settings by exchanging [Element LFE] and [Element CENTER] in /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output.conf, but now it is exchanged in the alsa-mixer (but this one I don't really use). ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alsa pulseaudio unity-control-center ** Also affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1592517 Title: [sound] Subwoofer slider changes center volume not LFE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1592517/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
