Same here. As I mentioned here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1566302/comments/48 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1566302/comments/49 , kernels v 4.4 and 4.6 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/ allow me to suspend.
The system won't respond to SysRq+REISUB. I tried running "systemctl suspend" from the tty after killing lightdm, but that didn't help. My system is a laptop, HP DV6-6174la, it has an AMD APU (A6-3400m, integrated GPU: radeon hd 6520g) + dGPU (radeon hd 6750m). BTW, if there is a pattern here, it seems to be the radeon module... Did Ubuntu introduce custom changes to radeon? (OTOH, I've read reports from ubuntu and other distros, that the kernel 4.4, and only this kernel, caused many machines to be unable to suspend, but this bug seems to be specific to ubuntu's kernel). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589139 Title: [HP Pavilion dv6-6b52sl Entertainment Notebook PC] No suspend on Ubuntu 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1589139/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
