Further investigation with my Edgy Laptop shows, that the card reader/card combination works there. The dmesg ouput when injecting the card is:
[17180508.216000] SCSI device sdc: 498176 512-byte hdwr sectors (255 MB) [17180508.220000] sdc: Write Protect is off [17180508.220000] sdc: Mode Sense: 43 00 00 08 [17180508.220000] sdc: assuming drive cache: write through and it seems the card is running through the usb_storage kernel module, "sudo modprobe -r usb_storage" disables the creation of /dev/sdc. NOW SOMETHING WEIRD HAPPENED Just after testing the reader on my laptop I replugged it int o my workstation and suddenly it is recognised and gets mounted as it should. I will try this again after a reboot, but it seems this was all a false alarm caused maybe by a weak physical connection. -- sd card regression https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149921 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
