Public bug reported: Tried running "di-netboot-assistant install utopic", it complains:
For security reasons, it is recommended to use the installer packages debian-installer-*-netboot-*. This is probably relevant when trying to prepare a debian netbook, but on ubuntu these packages are not available. I also do not see such packages for ubuntu at all, so how is this thing supposed to be used for preparing ubuntu netboot? Maybe at least provide link to https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=debian-installer ? Also when i choose to continue despite warning, it turns out it can't download http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/utopic/main/installer- amd64/current/images/netboot/netboot.tar.gz because it's not there :) Tony ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: di-netboot-assistant 0.41 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-22.40-generic 4.4.8 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-22-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Thu Jun 9 13:49:53 2016 EcryptfsInUse: Yes PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: di-netboot-assistant UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: di-netboot-assistant (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590753 Title: Complains about missing packages packages debian-installer-*-netboot-* To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/di-netboot-assistant/+bug/1590753/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
