Hi Christopher, I've run and submitted the requested Apport command. I'm currently on Ubuntu 14.04.4, and the Internet has been great -- very stable and reliable.
It was brought to my attention through my inquiries on Ubuntu Forums that my WiFi chipset, the AR928X, seems to stop working with newer Linux kernels. Because I installed Ubuntu 14.04.1, I get the benefit of staying on kernel 3.13. That's the main reason I don't want to upgrade anything beyond that kernel. This person also seemed to think it was kernel-related: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/280803/qualcomm-atheros-ar298x-not-working-with-recent-kernels Thanks for your ongoing support. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586650 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 touchy WiFi Internet To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1586650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
