Thanks paul, I know nautilus appears as 'Files' and a user without any idea of 'package name' will call that 'Files'. I am sure that the icon just disappears and I have to find it again pressing the super key and typing 'nautilus' or 'files', no other way to get it back. 16.04 has some other serious issues, I'm afraid !!
