Yes it was different. My issue was that I was using SDXC, while SDHC cards have no issue. However I did try and ext4 formatted SDHC card and I got the message "Unable to mount SD card. Check to see if it was formatted correctly." I was also able to mount from the command line, but I did not like the behavior. Instead I decided to reformat the card as fat32 and I had no issues.
