I'm running Gutsy Beta and I have the same problem. I grabbed all the available updates 20 minutes ago, and on reboot all I could see was a garbled screen. What happened to Bulletproof X? A temporary solution I found was to remove my Nvidia 6600GT AGP video card and connect my monitor to my onboard nForce2 integrated graphics. When I try to open Restricted Drivers Manager, I get a message saying "Please install linux-restricted-modules-generic" which of course is already installed. In the midst of all this, X-server constantly crashes and reboots itself. I have nvidia-glx-new installed. What is included in the update that breaks nvidia graphics? -- linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-13-generic is not available and makes boot finish on failsafe x interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
