As recommended workaround i get this: gsettings set org.freedesktop.Tracker.Miner.Files crawling-interval -2 gsettings set org.freedesktop.Tracker.Miner.Files enable-monitors false tracker-control -r This will disable the constant indexing and cleanup the indexers database.
