I can confirm this. Not sure if is by design, or a design fault. Might be caused by a feature which tries to prevent opening multiple child windows.
When trying to reproduce the bug. Alternativly, press ESC on step 4. Whatever button the mouse was resting on, will be inactive until the mouse leaves said button and goes back to it.
