I'm experiencing the same issue. I installed Gutsy from the beta CD, and initially sound worked in Flash/FF. After updating packages it does not.
These traditional Flash sound fixes do NOT solve the problem: 1. symlinking libesd 2. creating a socket file 3. renaming the asound config files (they didn't exist) ALSA doesn't appear to be installed on my system at all. System sounds do not work. I can, however, play audio files with Totem and Rhythmbox. ** Changed in: alsa-utils (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- [Gutsy Beta] No sound in some apps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148710 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
