Added click-package-index as we need the "license" field to be indexed, to be able to search on it. If we get it indexed for search, then we can at least use a search query like "!license:proprietary" to show all non- proprietary licensed apps, or "license:GNU*" to show only GNU licensed apps, for example.
When Unity8 gets filters support, we could then add filters to the UI for easier selection. @come for prices (free as in beer) you can just search for "price:0.00" to show all apps which are installable without payments. ** Also affects: click-package-index Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - [scopes] Apps in the AppStore can not be sorted by their license + [scopes] No way to filter apps by license field -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1437576 Title: [scopes] No way to filter apps by license field To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/click-package-index/+bug/1437576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
