I also get this bug. I got it when trying to install 16.04 development branch (files on the USB thumb drive are from April 16th 2016) over an existing 14.04 HDD.
I then replaced the HDD with a brand new SSD (with no partitions on it) and installed that same 16.04 version with no issues. And I just repeated the bug now by trying to install with the same 16.04 thumb drive over the existing 16.04 install on that SSD. So it seems the issue doesn't happen on an unpartitioned drive but happens when there are partitions on the drive, or maybe some combination of partitions. I have not pushed my tests further. ** Attachment added: "swap creation error" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1553652/+attachment/4641446/+files/IMG_20160421_090657.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1553652 Title: Ubiquity Install fails to create Swap Partition Erase and Install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1553652/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
