Public bug reported: upon a fresh installation of kubuntu 7.10 beta I get the following error when trying to update settings within the system settings menu:
Will not save configuration. Configuration file "/home/user/.kde/share/config/kcmshellrc" not writable. Please contact your system administrator. checking the permissions on this file it is owned by root.root. Manually changing the ownership seems to resolve this problem.
