Probaby one of the most beginner friendly workarounds to this is to use ARandR which is a gui for XRandR, and allows arrangement and enabling/disabling of displays manually.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install arandr (or alternatively use your package manager/software installer of choice) You can find ARandR in the system settings, if not just start it from the terminal. You can arrange your screens the way you want them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1497806 Title: Mirrored display broken in Xubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-settings/+bug/1497806/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
