I am not sure how the config could be broken - this was a fresh install
on a newly installed machine. What I noted was:

- with the default install, projectM was complaining about not being
able to load the dejavu fonts.

- copying config.inp to ~/.projectM fixed this.

It may be that some other applications do this automatically. However I
was using the projectM plugins with LiVES (http://lives-video.com).


Thus I would suggest that the install replicate my manual fix and copy 
config.inp to the user' s home (unless it exists already).
