This is not fixed for me as of compiz 1:0.6.0+git20071002-0ubuntu1, I
just saw this bad behavior. Pressing alt+f2 allowed me to run a
terminal, with the locked screen. Blindly typing "compiz --replace" gave
back normal behavior.
