Public bug reported: I loaded Gusty Beta 1 x64 on a hp workstation. Everything loaded great and worked fine. Attempted to use the new Dual Monitor GUI and found it to not work. Wasn't a big deal. Went through my normal process of downloading the nvidia drivers from teh website, compiled them and rebooted. Once back in the desktop setup the nvidia settings for dual head. Life seemed great uptil reboot. Seems the dual head GUI in the GNOME desktop is trumping my nvidia settings. Rolled my nvidia backup to an old oirg.conf file and was able to boot into single screen mode. Tried using ENVY to see if it would override it with no avail due to driver or bit compatability issues with Gusty. I ended up reloading 7.0.4. Would really like to use 7.10 if the dual head tool would work stand alone or if i could disable it from running completely. Either is fine although I would like to see the dual head tool work right. I would enable the second screen on it, configure the monitor and res and close. On reboot no change, so I assumed it didn't work. I am running a Nvidia Quatro FX 3500 card with 2 monitors on it. Thanks for your time and efforts on this great operating system
