I. e. use MAC-based names which are predictable (i. e. will be the same
across reinstalls, and you know what the name is going to be when you
add the device/before install) and don't need any state in /etc, but are
very long. Or use a reduced form of the old persistent-net-generator
whose names are *not* predictable, need to write state into /etc, but
have shorter names.
