Thanks for letting us know the newer version fixed the issue.  I'm
marking the bug fixed.

As to your questions, the Virtual Size relates to xrandr settings, which
would allow you to create a second screen to the side or above your main
screen.  This is handy if you wish to have multi-head setups.  The
Virtual Size parameter specifies the maximum dimensions that both
screens must fit into.  You can safely change it to 1440x900 if you
prefer; larger Virtual Sizes may require more memory allocation by your
video card, so reducing it could save that memory.

It's likely the change from "i810" to "intel" helped - the i810 driver
is deprecated as legacy and should not be used unless the -intel driver
doesn't work for some reason.

Sorry to hear you got set back to 640x480.  I think this was reported by
others and may already be fixed.  But if it remains an issue, please
feel free to file a new bug on it (if one doesn't already exist).
