einfach, Dave, and Nigel, while it seems your issues are similar to the
original report, actually they sound like independent bugs. Could you
please file new bug reports on each of your issues, and please attach
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file (and your original and/or working
xorg.conf's if you still have them.)
Giovanni, can you attach to this bug report, your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
the output from `sudo ddcprobe`, `sudo xresprobe intel`, and `xrandr`?
What happens if you run `xrandr --auto`?
Also, as last week I committed some things that fix several resolution
detection issues, can you please ensure your Gutsy is up to date, and
re-test the issue?
