Christopher, I was indeed thinking of F13b. I didn't realize I had F10
installed - looks like I picked the wrong one when I was downgrading.

I just installed F12, and the behaviour is the same. Volume keys work on
a fresh boot, and stop working after suspend/resume.

Here's the output from dmidecode:

F12
