I tested with the 1.2.3 BIOS too, but no change. What did make a difference was the new 4.4.0-11-generic kernel.
Now the boot seems to work just fine, keyboard is working again and the input box for the decryption password works again. There is however(on boot) a purple screen for a couple of seconds before it turns black and reappears with the input box for the decryption password, but that might be normal. The shutdown now seems to work every now and then. Sometimes it shuts down quickly but other times it hangs for a long time after "[ OK ] Stopped Thermal Daemon Service", I'm not sure what it's waiting for, so something seems to be wrong there. Should I mark this bug as fixed and create a new one as the problem has changed with the latest kernel? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1552938 Title: Keyboard not working on boot and stop job taking forever To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1552938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
