Hello Christopher, thanks for your reply.
Yesterday I received a massive update (new kernel, nvidia driver, x.org
server,...) that somehow broke my computer totally, so please bear in mind that
now I'm running freshly installed 'xenial-desktop-amd64.iso 04-Mar-2016'
(kernel 4.4.0-10-generic, nvidia 361.28). Consequently, I'm attaching here a
new dmesg output file.

sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
CDCN30WW
01/31/2016

Wi-fi is now working ok, but I still see some strange lines within dmesg
output:

[ 1.869368] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for
iwlwifi-8000C-19.ucode failed with error -2
[ 1.869382] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for
iwlwifi-8000C-18.ucode failed with error -2
[ 1.869392] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for
iwlwifi-8000C-17.ucode failed with error -2
[    1.869589] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Unsupported splx structure
