As requested by @penalvch, tested exact same hardware (nta3500 computer, hp vs19e display) with today's daily live image downloaded from at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/xenial-desktop-amd64.iso displayed as "xenial-desktop-amd64.iso 04-Mar-2016 08:29 1.5G" with md5sum 497d36d2b35c8db1c246af281acb36cc and sha1sum e036ed8aa1deedbbbc32bf5b8df0f01ac23e8286
Result: native resolution is correctly automatically detected and selected, no need for any manual workaround (no need for xrandr). So, this bug does not affect 16.04 daily live on this hardware combination. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307176 Title: Resolution limited to 1024x768 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/1307176/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
