Regrettably the open source drivers don't work very well for my X850, although they used to. (Just tried them with everything in gutsy up to date as of 2 hours ago) I will miss the cube and wobbly windows, but will have to settle for a working display for now. I think it is still a bug, need to confirm with others using an X850 card. Thus far, gutsy is certainly missing support for P1100 monitors. At least the lap top runs noticeably cooler with the upgrade, and I pleasantly found that the old SGI monitor on my server was listed and could also do 2048x1536 :)
