Hi, I must confirm that I am seeing this bug with Oracle VirtualBox since very very long time. I can see the bug has been reported on 2012-03-27 which explains a lot and I am seeing it with:
Ubuntu GNOME Desktop i386 build: 20160224.3 I've seen it too with the previous releases. However, weird enough, I never faced it with ToriOS even though ToriOS is based on Ubuntu 12.04.5 and maybe that's why? not really sure. Also, I'd like to double-confirm that I always test using Oracle VirtualBox so I have no idea how it is with real hardware. I have no spare hardware to test real installation on. I only test Ubuntu GNOME (due to very very limited time) and the spare old machine I have can't handle Ubuntu GNOME AFAIK and it's a broken laptop connected to a TV I use it as media player with ToriOS installed.
