The development process of the last 1,5 years was rather slow regarding new features and has focused on improving cross-platform compatibility etc. For a short overview of what has changed from 0.9.7 to the current version please see the attached NEWS file (NB: upstream tagged 0.9.7 at r1711, 0.9.8 at r1888).
