I have discovered that "recovery" boot mode is working. The reason is, that "recovery mode" doesn't contain "console" kernel parameters.
After enabling GUI console, pressing "ESC" early on boot, entering grub and removing "console" parameters works. Also, I have discovered, that "recovery" mode doesn't contain "net.ifnames=0" parameter, so network devices will be enabled with completely different names than in "normal" mode. Maybe it should be submitted as different issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1546108 Title: Latest Vagrant box for Ubuntu Xenial is failing to boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/livecd-rootfs/+bug/1546108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
