Christopher, I tried the kernel (4.5-rc3). The result - the backlight is not adjustable. I think the problem is not in the kernel. I use Ubuntu Gnome, but more than a month ago, I installed the MATE environment, right at the gnome, then Gnome and MATE mixed up, but surrounded by MATE the lighting was regulated, with kernels 4.2. I think it is Gnome. Only I didn't realize to whom to report it. I would be grateful if prompt.
