Hello all, This is happening to me too on Ubuntu 12.04.
I have unchecked some updates for example. Libreoffice, firefox and thunderbird. I do not use these apps so i do not see on the need to update them. So i have unchecked them on the update manager. But when you click on "install updates" it downloads the entire list, even the unchecked ones. right this moment i am trying to update my pc, excluding libre office, firefox and thunderbird.
