started happening to me recently in ubuntu 15.10 as well. I use a fujitsu laptop lh531 and a logitech mouse. all works fine when i start the computer and use it for upto one hour or near abouts. but then, suddenly the left mouse click button starts to malfunction. it sometimes grabs the button that i have clicked and does not let go. sometimes, it refuses to click at all. i tried using the touchpad button (btw, my touchpad is detected as a mouse) but even the touchpad left click button does not work. as soon as i unplug the mouse, everything is fine and the touchpad works properly. plug the mouse again and the same problem. when i restart the laptop, the mouse is fine and everything is back to normal for another one hour or so.
