Public bug reported: It seems that ppp, pppconfig and pppoeconf can be dropped from 'standard'. They are in 'ship' and 'ship-live'. I'd also even suggest that we can / sould put them in server-ship.
But it does not seem like they are very necessary in a standard install at this point. bzr blaming platform.xenial/standard shows: revno: 1031 committer: Colin Watson <cjwat...@canonical.com> branch nick: gutsy timestamp: Mon 2007-08-06 10:43:06 +0100 message: drop dselect, fdutils, reiserfsprogs, ppp, pppconfig, and pppoeconf to Recommends ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Medium Status: Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: ubuntu Milestone: None => ubuntu-16.04 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1541522 Title: standard seed does not need ppp pppconfig pppoeconf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1541522/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
