Just happened again. Managed to catch a log: When I press the address-book-app in the launcher, I get this output from unity8.log but the app does *NOT* launch:
qtmir.applications: ApplicationManager::startApplication - this= qtmir::ApplicationManager(0xf66570, name = "qtmir::ApplicationManager") appId address-book-app ApplicationManager::startApplication - application appId= "address-book-app" is queued to start This indicates that the call ends up in QtMir properly and it seems to get lost in there. reassigning the issue to QtMir ** Package changed: unity8 (Ubuntu) => qtmir (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: qtmir (Ubuntu) Assignee: Michael Zanetti (mzanetti) => (unassigned) ** Also affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1541388 Title: Icons in launcher sometimes refuse to launch application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1541388/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
