  I updated the system 26th Sept. 2007 (Gutsy) and...
  
  * Set Visual Effects to 'Normal'. Restarted X (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and it still 
worked, rebooted and it still worked.
- * Set Visual Effects to 'Extra'. Restarted X as above and it still worked, 
rebooted and it worked (it seems to still be working now) so I started 
Evolution as soon as I grabbed the top of the window to check the window wobble 
effect was working, then this crash.

actually stopped and is still working. But something generated the crash
