I'm one of the maintainers of the official tomahawk PPA. I have created a PPA with a tomahawk-player build for xenial [1], which uses the package name "tomahawk-player" instead of "tomahawk" to allow sync the "tomahawk" package of the debian sources.
I also started to bring the "tomahawk-player" to debian directly, but it will not be ready until DebianImportFreeze. And so it would be nice if someone could help me to improve the quality of my package and bring it to ubuntu xenial directly.
