Public bug reported:

A trust-store branch for enabling dual-landings has been prepared - this
is a good occasion to finally implement some proper ABI checking. The
recommended way is to use shlibs on the packaging side and abi-
compliance-checker from the unit-test side - a good doc for this can be
found here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain/LandingProcess#Dual-
landing_and_handling_symbols

We will land the dual-landability branch in the condition that ABI
checking is implemented ASAP, especially that trust-store had proper
symbol files until recently...
