Public bug reported: A trust-store branch for enabling dual-landings has been prepared - this is a good occasion to finally implement some proper ABI checking. The recommended way is to use shlibs on the packaging side and abi- compliance-checker from the unit-test side - a good doc for this can be found here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain/LandingProcess#Dual- landing_and_handling_symbols We will land the dual-landability branch in the condition that ABI checking is implemented ASAP, especially that trust-store had proper symbol files until recently... ** Affects: trust-store Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: trust-store (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Assignee: Thomas Voß (thomas-voss) Status: New ** Affects: trust-store (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Critical Assignee: Thomas Voß (thomas-voss) Status: New ** Also affects: trust-store (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: trust-store (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: trust-store (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: trust-store (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: trust-store (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Thomas Voß (thomas-voss) ** Changed in: trust-store (Ubuntu RTM) Assignee: (unassigned) => Thomas Voß (thomas-voss) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534628 Title: Add ABI compatibility checks and shlibs to the packaging To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/trust-store/+bug/1534628/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
