By add the libxine-ffmpeg package, it worked for me also. Only problem is as ElTimo wrote, it stopped when I tried to open a menu. For example when I opened the scenes menu and selected one, a new window wanted to open and once it did, it stopped working. But over all I'm happy the DVD finally plays. I've been struggling with this for a couple of monts..maybe even longer now. Thanks to handante the post.
