OK, Mister Linux System Administrator, how would you suggest someone fix this bug without site editing access/permission?? No one can, except the actual site admin, who appears to have ignored this issue for years. Whoever this person is deserves all of the insults, tomatoes and jeers tossed their way for being either highly incompetent or solidly pig- headed. I've seen captchas on other sites that were not so difficult to use, so it is not a matter of "fixing" the code, it's a matter of using a better widely available captcha plugin tool that already exists. From my POV ... there is nothing users can do about it except complain.
