Public bug reported:

I installed jmol as follows:
sudo apt-get install jmol

Then I tried to run it:
jmol

The program did not start and I got the messages

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
Caused by: java.awt.HeadlessException
        at sun.awt.HeadlessToolkit.getScreenSize(HeadlessToolkit.java:282)
        at org.openscience.jmol.app.jmolpanel.JmolPanel.<clinit>(Unknown Source)

I found out that one necessary dependence - java runtime - was missing.
(After installing the package default-jre the program jmol is normally
usable.)
