I have also observed the same problem in 15.10 it appears to only occur
when I am playing videos with vlc. Also the videos have to be stored on
my encrypted hd, it never occurs whilst streaming from my kodi system.
In addition it appears to be related to the amount of prior activity. I
have never had the problem if I am playing the video immediately after
logging back in after a fail or immediately after a system start up.
